Senior Systems Engineer

As Senior Systems Engineer you will play a crucial role in leading and directing projects. You will be responsible for formally creating top level business requirements documentation, decomposing these into platform requirements and then co-ordinating these to the individual engineering disciplines. 

The systems team will ensure all independent engineering work products satisfy the top-level business requirements (functional, legislative, and commercial/cost targets) as well as quality and safety requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentoring a team, whilst driving innovation within the EV industry.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinating and liaising with key stakeholders within commercial and engineering to create the overall top-level business requirements.
• Ensuring quality and safety objectives are met within the product development life cycle.
• Monitoring all stages of the engineering process to ensure there is consistency across each discipline and that the requirement of each stage is met.
• Ensuring that artefacts from each stage of the PDL are generated and in line with expectation.
• Attending design reviews and ensuring that all key stakeholders are made aware of proposed changes prior to implementation.
• Determine where responsibility is for distributing the business requirements within each engineering discipline.
• Monitoring the entire process from initial product concept to tested product going to the customer, to primarily ensure it meets the safety requirements.
• Implementing, managing and maintaining a change control process and overseeing the implementation of development processes across the engineering function ensuring there is a good level of consistency across the board.
