Petalite are honoured to have won The Engineer magazine’s ‘Collaborate 2 Innovate’ award for the Future Flight Landing and Infrastructure project which Petalite are leading on. The award was won within the Aerospace and Defence category and is Petalite’s first award that recognises how our innovative SDC technology supports reliable, rapid charging for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

We couldn’t be more pleased for the consortium’s innovation, hard work and collaboration to be recognised in this way. This project brings the reality of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) a step closer and helps us on the pathway to electrification.”

Steve Gardener • CEO, Petalite

The C2I awards has uncovered an incredible array of collaborative engineering projects, which between them provide a compelling reminder of the both the breadth of UK engineering expertise and the important role that engineers are playing in addressing some of the biggest challenges we face as a society.”
