Our Culture

How we behave and act

Freedom. To question, challenge, discover

Petalite nurtures an anything is possible environment. We thrive on change. Always looking ahead, pushing the boundaries of known technology to accelerate the progress of a next generation charging infrastructure – moving us closer and closer to a net-zero world. Challenges are opportunities to discover what’s next. That’s why we confront them head on – never constraining our thinking. Our culture is founded on the freedom to discover the new.

Our values

They guide us in everything we do

Challenge accepted

It’s our business to take on the questions that are yet to be answered. We thrive when there’s an uphill battle and never shy away from a problem that needs solving - we’re engineers after all. Every day we wake up knowing exactly what we are here to do - we just need to find the best way to do it.

Move together

We cannot progress forwards without the people next to us. We take pride in the knowledge that every person on our team is working towards the same goal. We’re inclusive, supportive and all in it together. This is an environment which makes everyone feel they can do their best work and we celebrate this - regularly!

Consciously contribute

We recognise the significance of the work we do and will never take it for granted. We use our expertise to help create a better future alongside the wider EV ecosystem we are a part of. We know we are here to create something bigger than ourselves. And a place where everyone plays a part in that vision.

Petalite’s people culture

Hannah Dix, Chief People Officer

In her own words:

Our engineers are thinking creatively every day and thinking outside of the box, pushing their own boundaries to really find solutions to things that have never been done before”.

Faizan Mahmood

Engineering Technician

“Petalite has given me a great opportunity to develop my career as an engineer. As a young person who had left college, I enrolled on the UK government’s Kickstarter programme and was offered an opportunity at Petalite. One of my proudest moments was the opportunity to work on the first prototype DC charger with the experienced engineers I could learn from.

When my Kickstarter contract finished, I was offered a full-time, permanent position and the opportunity to continue training. I am now an Engineering Technician and support the engineering team by managing and setting up test equipment, operating out industrial 3D printers to create prototypes of our AC and DC chargers.”

Lilit Grigorian

Project Manager

"Since joining Petalite 16 months ago, I've witnessed our team double in size, growing from 20 to over 40 dedicated members. I've had the incredible opportunity to learn from brilliant engineers and contribute to the development of game-changing technology.

It's inspiring to be part of a team that's revolutionising the market, and I'm excited to contribute as we scale and transform the EV charging industry."

Paul Robson

Technical Specialist Product Development

“With over 20 years engineering experience designing electrified systems across automotive, aerospace and motorsport industries, I can honestly say Petalite is one of the most exciting places I’ve ever worked.

Here you have the power to make an impact, we are overcoming technical obstacles and innovating at pace. It’s a creative and inventive environment where we are challenging known technology – so every day is energising.”
